Meet Lucas:
Born and raised in Orlando Florida, I was brought up in a quiet suburb with my two brothers and my loving parents, all of whom instilled in me the passion I have for the arts today. Born to two professional athletes, my parents inspired a deep, insistent, fervorous drive within me that I bring to all of my work as an actor today. I’ve been blessed enough to receive training at top acting institutions such as Interlochen Arts Academy (commonly regarded as one of the top performing arts high-schools in the world,) the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London (RADA,) and the Boston University School of Theatre, my dream school, where I’m currently studying to achieve my BFA in Acting.
Within my work I’m drawn to stories that are soaked with complexity. More specifically, how two “opposites” can exist at once - beauty and ugliness, loneliness and community, and right and wrong. Amplifying black voices and lifting up my communities stories is one of my favorite things to do as an artist. Additionally, I’m a huge believer in radical kindness - in my head, striving to be a better actor and trying to better yourself as a person are one in the same.
Outside of the theatre, you can find me reading, (my favorite author is Hanya Yanigahara) sketching, eating sushi, and listening to a lot of Nina Simone. I hope to play characters who, no matter what, dig into their gut and fight for what and who they love.
